ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
MEARIM7 (The 7th Middle East and Africa Regional Meeting of the International Astronomical Union) is considered one of the most prominent regional scientific events in the field of space and astronomical sciences. Held every three years under the auspices of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), it gathers top scientists, researchers, and experts from across the globe.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is honored to host the seventh edition of this distinguished conference in November 2025, through a joint organization by the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, the University of Jordan, and the University of Sharjah, in collaboration with various local, regional, and international partners.
The conference serves as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, offering participants—scientists, experts, and students—a valuable opportunity to present their latest research, discuss recent scientific advancements in astronomy and space, and explore collaborative prospects across institutions and nations.
It also emphasizes capacity building in scientific research throughout the region, promotes international cooperation, and supports young talents and innovation in the fields of space exploration and astronomy.
MEARIM7 is more than just a scientific gathering—it is a bridge for scientific and cultural dialogue, contributing to strengthening the region’s role as an active hub in the global research and development landscape
